Specialists in constructing and equipping commercial greenhouses, Bridge Greenhouses, have announced they will be exhibiting at the annual British Tomato Conference alongside their partner, Certhon.

The UK’s specialist event for the tomato and agricultural industry, run by the British Tomato Growers’ Association, is being held in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on 26th September.

As a business which supports the sector with horticulture structures and technology, Bridge Greenhouses will be showcasing their innovations, attending industry talks and sharing their expertise with tomato growing professionals.

“We are excited to be exhibiting at this year’s Tomato Conference and getting the opportunity to connect with key figures who – like us – are dedicated to developing food production in Britain. As well as engaging in speeches and events, we look forward to presenting the capabilities of our controlled environment greenhouse solutions, sharing how we help tomato growers cultivate bigger and juicier yields” says David Summerfield, Director of Bridge Greenhouses.

The Tomato Growers’ Association is led by a board of tomato producing companies and other industry experts and is dedicated to developing domestic tomato production through initiatives and events such as the Tomato Conference.

The annual event brings together growers, suppliers, allied industries and researchers to network, engage in presentations and visit trade stands showcasing the latest products and services available to the industry.

This year’s event is themed around “Balancing Business and Environmental Sustainability”. The lineup of guest-speakers will discuss all aspects of sustainability in growing, including its impact on the environment, policy, energy consumption, carbon emissions, pests and disease management.

“With climate changes concerns growing within agriculture, helping growers increase sustainability has become a leading focus of the services we provide. We hope to show tomato growers how sustainable farming practices in greenhouses can lead to increased productivity while reducing their environmental impact. As well as offering renewable heating and energy, our structures are designed to deliver high yield crops with lower requirement for fertilisers and additives” adds David.

Founded in 1983, Bridge Greenhouses has been at the forefront of the UK glasshouses for four decades, with extensive experience of constructing commercial greenhouses used for edible fruit and veg, medicinal plants, plant nurseries and flowers.

Bridge Greenhouses will be sharing a stand their partner Certhon, an innovator in high-tech greenhouses and climate control systems that improve sustainable growing while enabling the growth of any crop for any location across the world.

Bridge Greenhouses and Certhon invites attendees to visit them to discover how they can improve tomato growing efficiency and improve sustainable efforts through their services.
